Zombie Spies -Scary stuff eh?
« on: June 22, 2006, 04:01:14 PM »
Some might say 'Serious Business' *laughs*
Well, I see the paranioa is still infesting the Survivors of Malton.

After the safe house had been cracked, I managed to get to safety, went back to check on the rest of the guys a couple of days later, helped out with the local rif-raf, and scooted away. That was the mistake, I didn't sccot far enough and woke of a Zombie. Spent the wodge of banked XP, and waited patiently for someone I knew to revive me.

Joy! Rapture! Revived!

So, I'll scoot off a bit further to recover, after nearly dying searching for a FAK after using my last one on someone else before my premature demise (good altruistic survivor me, ready and willing to waster APs on banter and other forms of RP). So, Safe I think, I'll just rest up, maybe someone nice survior here will heal me, and then I can get my needles out and get the rest of my buddies up and running again.

Instead, the kindly Doctor John Clark (The Medical Man) has looked at my profile, and thought "OMZGZ0R!!! ZOMBIE SPY!!!!" and I'm a Zombie again *laughs*

Back to foaming at the mouth and ranting at passing strangers until I get a needle in the ass, or decide to take swipes at barricades... Well, I guess I'll also be paying a visit on the good Doctor once I'm revived and slapping him upside the head *grins*

Anyone have some amusing stories of mistaken spyhood?

The only time I was ever accused of being a zombie spy was when I went to Caiger.  During the mall seige.  With my brain rotted zombie who had only a couple harman skills.  And had Mall Tour as his group.  And was spying.

Ok, not really.  But, it was fun to see the Caigerites get their panties in a knot so quickly over a brain rotter inside the mall.  Of course, that didn't stop them from reviifying me every time we broke into the NT building.  I tried to be a good harman while I was inside.  No GKing and whatnot.  I even healed someone.  Well, I healed another revived MT member.

I've seen people accuse others of being zed spies over the stupidest things.  One newbie accused someone of spying because she saw his health go from 60 -> 59.  She believed that he must have walked in, infected himself, and started searching in order to stand up and kill again as a zombie.  Where do you even begin to start explaining the confusion of ideas behind such a thought?

I get called a zombie spy quite often.  I do a bit of GKing when revived but have never spied.

It annoys me that survivors see revived zombie players as spies.  It is insulting.  The real spies are people reading or passing on other group forum info to survivors and we've seen far more of that from harman players.

Thankfully, Mia hasn't been accused of being a zombie spy yet (she has brainrot).  Of course, she works in a Rotter's Relief clinic, so I'm sure everyone there understands.

For what it's worth, I was once branded as a PK'er by a level 10, thing is, I was a level 1 Lab Assistant at the time...

The first time my zombie alt got combat revived, I decided to play it out as a human until I got eaten again.  As I had essentially no human skills, I had a rough time, especially in finding safehouses.  I had found a decent one that I had been using for a couple of days, when a MFD member came through and told me to get my spying ass out of there or he'd PK me.  I didn't have much recourse so I skulked out.

I'd never been the victim of discrimination like that before.  Kinda makes you think...  :raise:

Believe it or not, Latyon was also accused of spying...but with the addition of radios, zombie spying is a lot easier and almost no longer needed for the physical zombie to go and spy.  Just get a revive, get a receiver, set the channel to the group you're spying on, and jump.

*sarcastic gasp* Oops.  I guess I just gave them ideas.  Not that I'm the only one to have thought of this.

Since Latyon has nearly every zombie skill (in addition to all the human skills) he is actually accused quite often of spying.  No, not a spy, just got bored of accumulating EXP and got killed.  See no problems there.

See, I don't doubt that people do spy on each others groups, I just find it amusing that the evidence for the accusation is being a maxed out survivor, with some Zombie skils (and not even all the combat ones!). *shrugs* certainly makes me consider performing my first PK, well, retaliation!

Ahhh the joys of living in Malton during a Zombie Outbreak. I get the feeling that Malton was a dangerous place before the outbreak, all those PDs, guns in the Pubs...

If there were a casino, I would be convinced that Malton was actually Reno.

You know, I got combat-revived once and stopped into a mall, where I announced, "Hello all!  I am a zombie, but not a spy.  I don't care anything about what you're doing or who is here.  I'm just here to collect ammo to use on the next person who combat revives me, after which I'm going to break your radio and then leave".

No one bothered me!!  ::)

I guess it's always best being honest.......

Are you serious? That's hilarious!
